Tilaran, pop. 9,300 is located in the green highlands of Northern Costa Rica. It enjoys cool, breezy weather. The Tilaran district includes 7 smaller villages. Bordered by volcanoes and surrounded by ranch lands, rivers and lakes. Tilaran remains outside the tourist lanes still holding onto the wholesome rural life of family traditions and community pride.
