Granada, Nicaragua - the colonial jewel of Central America!
This warm, relaxed and "walk-able" city, invites you to chat with neighbors or hang-out in the plaza sipping a cool "fresco" while green parrots play in the palms. Language is all around you, sway in a hammock and absorb it -or jump into a game of local handball and play in it! This is our community and we love to share it with you.
Granada, Central America's oldest Spanish colonial city is the perfect community to experience up-close and personal family life in Central America. Its embracing slow tropical pace provides a rare opportunity to explore the past while celebrating its youthful indigenous spirit.
Located on the coast of the great tropical lake Nicaragua and a stones throw from the majestic Mombacho cloud forest, Granada sits on an isthmus between the Caribbean and Pacific ocean. This spectacular location provides students with many "nearby" adventures and cultural encounters.
